This past week many joined me in the Chapel for the 24 hours of public prayer, penance, and Adoration.  It was a truly moving experience to see so many come and pray at all hours for healing in our Church.  It was a poignant moment for the parish, as prayers were offered for victims of clergy abuse and their families.  I honestly believe that there is a clear path forward for healing and it’s through the Eucharist.  I encourage each of you to stay close to our Lord in the Eucharist.  Take advantage of the many Holy Hours and Adoration available weekly here at St. Mary’s.  I was asked if it were possible for us to come together and discuss the present situation in the Church.  After meeting with the our Pastoral Council, we have put together a time for that to happen.  On Thursday, October 4th at 6:30 p.m., we will host a parish meeting in Mary Hall.  At that time, we will see two short but important videos regarding this topic, have Eucharistic Adoration, and time for people to speak directly with me about the crisis.  Please plan on attending this meeting.
