In today’s Gospel, Jesus repeats several times: “Peace be with you.” After the second time that he offers peace, he gives His disciples a mission. He says: “As the Father has sent me, I now send you.” This was a command given not only to those gathered in that room; but also, it is a command given to each of us. We are called to go out into the world and spread the Gospel message in word and deed. Jesus suffered, died, and rose from the dead for the salvation of the world — that is a story worth telling! Don’t miss an opportunity to get this message out there. Jesus is counting on us to do this. He has done much for us. What do you think? Is this something we can do for Him? Remember, “as the Father has sent Me, I now send you!” The only thing left to do is go and do what we have been asked.
Happy Easter!
