This weekend the Church enters into the final moments of Advent.  In today’s Gospel, Mary visits Elizabeth, who herself is expecting the birth of her son, St. John the Baptist.  In that simple, yet profound moment, as Mary and Elizabeth exchange greetings, so too does Jesus and John.  Elizabeth cries out with joy upon seeing Mary, and John leaps for joy in his mother’s womb.  In these final days of Advent, let us be consumed with that same joy.  In just a few days, Jesus will be born.  Are you prepared?

“Come, Lord Jesus!”

Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
