As we continue to explore the call to discipleship, we see our Lord on the move. We hear this weekend: “Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also. For this purpose have I come.” Jesus is pursuing His mission; He is not staying still; He is on the road. He is constantly on the move seeking, preaching, healing, and calling others to holiness. If we are to be authentic disciples, then we cannot stay still. We, like Christ, must be on the move. We are charged with bringing others to Him. This means that we do not just sit on our hands or put up our feet. Discipleship puts us on the road with Jesus ~ doing and saying the things He says and does. So, put on your running/walking shoes and get on the road that will help lead others to Christ.
