“Now, Master, you may let your   servant go in peace, according to Your word, for my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for Your people Israel.”

These are the words that Simeon said as he held the Christ Child in his hands.  He recognized in that Child the salvation of the world ~ the fulfillment of the prophecies of old.  As you gaze into the eyes of Christ, whether it be at Holy Mass, Adoration, or in the   Manger, what do you see?  Do you see what Simeon saw with his own eyes?  Or can you see what Our    Lady, the Mother of God, saw or St. Joseph, the   shepherds, the Wise Men and countless others saw?  Take time today to just look into His eyes ~ look upon Him in the Eucharist.  Ponder what it is that you see.  This weekend, as we celebrate the Holy Family and Mary, the Mother of God, let us pause and look, for there is much to see.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
