As we construct a Plan of Life, as mentioned in last week’s bulletin, let us begin with the moment that we wake up. There is the heroic minute in which we get out of bed immediately when the alarm clock goes off. We do not hit the snooze button, but we get out of bed and if possible kneel at the bed side and make what is called the Morning Offering. We do so in order to turn our first moment of the day over to God. A simple Morning Offering can begin with the words: “I will serve ~ Serviam.”
Then you can pray: “I adore You, my God, and I love You with all my heart. I thank You for having created me, made me a Christian, and guarded me through the night. I offer to You the works of this day, let them be done according to Your holy will and for Your greater glory. Save me from sin and all evil. May Your grace always be with me and with all my loved ones. Amen.”
With these words, your day is off to a good start.
