Next weekend, we will enter into a week which is holy. These events will unfold beginning with the entrance of Christ into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Like the crowds of old, we will exclaim Hosanna! Then we will be led to the Upper Room on Holy Thursday, where we will witness Jesus humbly washing the feet of His disciples and instituting the Eucharist. From there, we will walk the Way of the Cross with Jesus on Good Friday. Together with Our Blessed Mother and St. John we will stand at the foot of His Cross and witness the depths of His love and mercy for us. Then, we shall enter into the silence of Holy Saturday as Christ will be placed in the tomb. That silence, however, will be shattered on Easter Sunday, when we cry aloud Alleluia, He has Risen! That week is indeed holy because of the events that Christ will undergo for love of us and for our salvation. Enter it with a sense of gratitude. Prepare well for that moment.
Faithfully Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
