Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the good news proclaimed to them.”

These are the words of instruction that Jesus gives in the Gospel today to those gathered around Him. I cannot help but think that these are also the words that Jesus offers to us. That is, we are to go out into the world and proclaim what we have seen and heard. There is great power in one’s witness and in one’s testimony. We can never underestimate that power. Each of us has seen the grace of God working in our lives ~ talk about it, share it, witness to it before others. We have heard the subtle voice of God in prayer ~ we must testify to it with those we encounter. In these days of Advent, prepare not only your hearts for the coming of Christ, but help prepare the hearts of those around you. You can do so by telling them what you have seen and heard.

Faithfully Yours In Christ,
