Over these past few weeks in my homilies, I have been reflecting on and emphasizing love. If you recall, I have been speaking about how the new commandment to love one another comes from the Last Supper and The Cross. It is there that Christ demonstrates love. It leads to service (washing of the disciple’s feet), it is sacrificial (He gives His body and Blood), and it holds nothing back (the sacrifice of Cross). This is the manner in which we are now called to love God and our neighbor. That is, to love with heart, soul, strength, and mind. Take these words to prayer this week and see if you love in that manner.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
