Recently, we watched a movie with the teens entitled: God is Not Dad. There are several of these movies that deal with people’s choices to defend their faith and God’s existence. They are drawn from actual real life events. The particular one we viewed was about a high school teacher who was dragged into court because she answered a question from a student who asked if Christ was a historical figure. She answered the question Yes and was subsequently terminated. The dramatic moment of the movie came when she was asked why she believed in God, and why was He worth defending/fighting for, even if it meant losing her job. She responded that one night while she out walking she saw a sign on a Church that posed the question of the Gospel today; namely, “Who do you say that I am?” She was not an ardent believer, yet she was stopped in her tracks and for the first time in her life needed to respond to the question. That was the beginning of turning her life around and following Christ. Today, you are asked, Who do you say that I am? Once you answer the question, then ask Is He worth fighting for/defending? I personally think He is!

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
