The Gospel this weekend continues in the same vein as last weekend. If you recall, the disciples were in the boat during the raging storm and the tumultuous sea. Although they were frightened and having difficultly weathering the storm, they knew exactly what to do and where to go. They went straight to Jesus. The Synagogue official, Jairus, also knew what to do and where to go: he went to Jesus. The woman who had suffered for over a decade with hemorrhages; she went straight to Jesus. Do you see a similar pattern developing in their lives. In whatever circumstance ~ a storm, an illness, a trial ~ go to Jesus and listen to Him say: “Quiet! Be still!, Do not be afraid! Just have faith!” Sounds like pretty good advice. Advice that I will take to heart; what about you?
