Welcome Bishop Reed!
This past Friday, Bishop Robert Reed celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation here at St. Mary’s. Fifty-one young men and women from our parish received the outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit during the Confirmation Ceremonies. Please continue to pray for those who over the past two years have been studying and preparing for the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Also, keep Bishop Reed in your prayers as he now resumes a full schedule of Confirmations. To the candidates, I pray as you have received the Holy Spirit, that you will always be open to the graces this sacrament offers, and to the seven-fold gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel (right judgment), Fortitude (courage), Knowledge, Piety (reverence) and Fear of the Lord (wonder & awe). To Bishop Reed, I offer you the prayerful support of our parish family.
Also, I want to thank one of our parishioners, Mrs. Ginny Pagliuca, for she has so kindly purchased a Bible for each of those who had received the Sacrament.
