This Sunday, we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ from the dead. I still cannot get used to the emptiness of the Church. It was eerie celebrating the holiest of weeks without each of you physically pouring into the Church. This Easter Sunday is no different. How I long for that moment when we can be together gathered around the Altar and celebrating as we were meant to ~ together! Please know that at each of the Easter Masses, you and your loved ones will be carried in a special way in my heart. When this is all over, there will be much for us to celebrate in person.

Today, however, that celebration is done virtually. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to all those who worked so hard to get the live-streamed Masses up and running. You have no idea of the amount of time, energy, resources, and money they put into bringing you the Masses during this time of the pandemic. Say a prayer of thanksgiving for Brandon & Christin Fitts, Jimmy Leonard, Mike Lembo, Heather Flynn, Deacon Kelley & Nancy McCormick, Brian Daily, Patrick O’Connor, Peter Schrippa, Nick Stano, and Fr. Dominic. Without them, I do not know where we would have been with the live-streaming of Mass, services, and devotions.

I, also, want to express my gratitude to those who have continued to send in your offertory donations via mail, online, and/or in person. You have helped us tremendously in keeping the parish on somewhat of a stable financial platform.

This Holy Week, I have seen your love, support, goodness, and cooperation flower. This has humbled me and opened my eyes even wider to the beauty of this family. I have always felt that this parish was unique ~ that has been amplified in your responses to this crisis. May God bless you all and be most assured of my prayers for you and your families.

Faithfully Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
