As we continue to live this Lenten Season, I ask you once again to consider the Corporal Works of Mercy as something you may undertake over these days. This week reflect on “clothe the naked/give alms to the poor.” In the Gospel of Matthew, we recall Jesus’ words: “For I was . . . naked and you clothed me . . . Then the righteous will answer Him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see You . . . naked and clothe You? . . . And the King will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for Me’.” (Mt. 25: 36-40) Will you consider helping somebody in need by fulfilling Jesus’ mandate of the above Scriptural quote?
Practice: Behind the Parish Center, there is a St. Vincent DePaul Clothing Bin; I ask that this week go through your closet and pick out one item and donate it by placing it in that bin.
