This weekend, in observance of Veterans Day, I would like to encourage each of you to pause for a brief moment and reflect on the sacrifices that were made by our Veterans. When I think of these men and women, who have made so many sacrifices for our Nation, I am filled with a sense of gratitude. Think for a moment of those who you know, from all walks of life, who have answered the call to serve our Nation. Some went abroad and others stayed within our borders, however, they all had the same mission to protect and to serve. Countless that answered the call never returned home. This Veterans’ Day weekend, please honor their service by your prayers. If you see somebody that you know to be a Veteran, thank them for their service. We are blessed in our Nation because we have so many who give their all and make many sacrifices. Together we must learn from their examples; we are all called to be selfless and compassionate.
