This weekend, we celebrate the last week of Ordinary Time and joyfully prepare for the great Season of Advent.  Today is the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ  King of the Universe.  As seen on the bulletin cover, which is the first of our stained glass windows, Jesus rules unlike any king that the world has ever seen or known.  His kingdom is not of this world but eternal in Heaven.  He chose to rule from the Cross and not an ostentatious throne.  He decided that the only crown that would touch His head would be of thorns and not gold.  He desired to be among the people and not locked away in a castle.  Yes, our King is not your ordinary king.  He is the Son of God.  He reigns in our hearts.  He is gentle, kind, forgiving, and loving.  You will notice on the parish stained glass window that His sacred arms are open ~ He is ready to embrace all who come to Him.

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ, King of endless glory!
