During the past weekend, at the Masses I celebrated, I asked each of you to stay close to Christ in the Eucharist in response to the evil that has entered the Church through the actions of some priests. The Eucharist is the means by which we can confront this assault and protect ourselves and those around us. The devil is not pleased when Masses are celebrated, confessions are heard, prayers are offered, sacraments are conferred, and Eucharistic Adoration is available. In order to face this current crisis, I am asking all parishioners to join me throughout the day on Tuesday, September 4th for a day of prayer and healing. The day will begin with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 8:00 a.m. and conclude with Benediction at 6:45 p.m. followed by Mass. During this time there will be Masses said, confessions heard, Rosaries prayed, and reflections and silent prayer. Please join me and other parishioners for this all important time of prayer.
