I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to Kevin Rosa, our Youth Director and Confirmation Coordinator, and all the volunteers that worked with our teens in preparing them for last Sunday’s Confirmation. Also, thank you to Brandon Fitts and the LifeTeen Band for a phenomenal job with the music for the Mass. All commented on how beautiful everything was. In his closing remarks at the homily, Bishop Kennedy quoted Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. In the words of Pope Benedict, Bishop Kennedy asked the 81 young men and women present to consider becoming a saint. This is an awesome undertaking. It is with courage, wisdom, fortitude, understanding, piety, reverence, and counsel that this is possible. It so happens that on Sunday night those were the exact gifts that were conferred on them by the Holy Spirit! Let’s pray that they are serious about what they had done and that the power of the Holy Spirit will find a welcomed place in each of their hearts.
