The Gospel this weekend is a three for one! In one Gospel, we get three parables that speak about what is lost and the recovery of that which was lost. In each instance, whether it was the shepherd of the flock, the woman with the coins, or the father of the wayward sons, the message is clear ~ there is always a pathway back. The shepherd went for the sheep, the woman searched for the coin, the father waited in hope for the son. In our lives, Christ will go to us; He will search for us; He will await our return in hope. The shepherd found the sheep, the woman found the coin, the father his son ~ the joy in each parable was tangible. Just imagine God’s joy upon our return!
