As we embark on this new Lenten journey with our Lord, I ask each of you to observe Him closely over these next forty days. While in that desert, listen to His words, watch His sacrifices, and ponder His actions. Stay focused on Christ and realize that He is focusing on us ~ for that is the reason He is in that desert in the first place. He will give you a model for Lent. He will watch to see if you are entering this time worthily and well. Bring all that you observe to your prayer and then ask yourself ~ how much of the Cross am I willing to shoulder?
