This past week, we celebrated two beautiful feasts of two beautiful Hearts. Friday was the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and Saturday was the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. There is much we can learn from the schools of these two Hearts. In the School of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we learn about mercy, compassion, and forgiveness. In the School of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we learn about humility, hope, and purity. In the combined Schools of these two Hearts, we learn about sacrifice. As students of two worthy Teachers, it would benefit us greatly to examine and study well the lessons presented to us. As the summer approaches, it is traditionally a time in which we take a break from teaching and studies. Yet, these lessons are worth teaching and certainly worth studying. So, don’t just take the summer off! This year, rather, continue to study, observe, and learn for these are lesson worthy of our time and attention.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
