I have to say that when I heard the news of the Church shooting in Texas, I immediately took to prayer as many of you did. I became aware of just how broken we are as a society. Later that night, in speaking with the teens, I realized that in the midst of this brokenness there is hope. I watched each of them at Mass and then the Life Night on chastity realizing they don’t care about the rhetoric that always seems to spark criticisms and fuel angry debates. They simply came looking for ways in which we can heal the brokenness of our hearts and world. At some point we have to stop yelling and pointing fingers at each other and come together to repair what is so broken. The darkness will never triumph over the light! Keep praying for healing and unity within our nation, homes, and hearts.
