As we continue to reflect on how we can “increase our faith,” by considering the spiritual programs offered here at St. Mary’s, let us explore the Stations of the Cross, which are prayed together every Friday after the 12:10 pm daily Mass in the Church, and then again at 5:00 pm in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel.
The Stations of the Cross offer us a unique way of following closely the final steps of our Lord’s life here on earth in the flesh. We get to journey that road that leads Him to Calvary and the tomb. Along the way we encounter our Lady, St. Veronica, St. John, the crowds who are there for Him, those who help Him carry the Cross, and yes even those who mock Him. This journey is extraordinary and allows us to spend time with our Lord as He makes His way to the Cross for us. Consider coming along for the journey and walk the Way of the Cross on Friday afternoons or evenings.
