Last Sunday, in St. Paul’s Letter to the Corinthians, he mentioned a ‘Ministry of Reconciliation.’  Christ, in the Gospel Parable of the Prodigal Son, showed us what that ministry looks like.  The father of the two sons shows them compassion in the face of both of their sinful inclinations.  The younger son’s sins were more recognizable because of the manner in which he lived.  The second son’s sins were more concealed, but nevertheless present.  The father embraces both his sons and shows them what a ‘Ministry of Reconciliation’ must be.  The Gospel this weekend continues to reveal what sort of ministry this is.  Again, both people display sinful behavior.  The woman’s sin is again more recognizable due to her actions.  The crowd’s sins are more concealed but ever present.  Christ admonishes both to go and sin no more.  In these remaining days of Lent, consider availing yourself to the ‘Ministry of Reconciliation’ and feel the embrace of your Heavenly Father and make amends by the manner of your lives.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
