Buon Natale!

On behalf of Fr. Dominic, Fr. Eric, Deacon Kelley, the entire staff, and myself, I wish you all a Blessed and Merry Christmas!  May the love of the Child in the Manger fill your hearts and your homes with peace, joy, and love this Christmas Season.  May the New Year be filled with God’s blessings for you and your loved ones.  Please be assured of my love and prayers for each of you on this day and into the New Year of 2024.

Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a Savior has been born for you who is Christ and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an Infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.’
And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests’.”

Today, let us join our voices to that of the angel and proclaim: “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.”

While the rest of the world may think that Christmas is but one day and is over after December 25th, the season of Christmas actually continues up to the feast of the Baptism of the Lord. That is why the Church remains decorated in this manner beyond when the rest of the world has taken down the Christmas trees and Christmas lights. Therefore, for us Catholics, it is not a single day to celebrate, but an entire season of joy. At home, we should follow the fashion of the Church and keep up our decorations to celebrate all the way through the season.

Merry, Blessed, and Happy Christmas to all!

Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
