Next week, we will celebrate the feast day of our Parish Family ~ the Assumption of our Blessed Mother into heaven. This feast, which we will celebrate a week from this Monday, causes us to pause, albeit for a moment, to reflect on the great care and love She demonstrates to our parish.  She has indeed wrapped us in Her mantle and watches over us with a Mother’s love.  I would like to ask each of you in this week leading up to the feast to pray for our parish and the needs of our brothers and sisters.  To that end, would you consider praying daily the Memorare for the people of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish?

“Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to Thy protection, implored Thy help, or sought Thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto Thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To Thee do I come, before Thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.  O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy hear and answer me.  Amen.”

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Wayne
