This weekend, as we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday, we welcome Bishop Robert Reed to St. Mary’s for the Confirmation Masses for the young men and women of our parish family.  This Sunday at two Masses (2:30 pm and 5:30 pm) some 90 candidates will receive the outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit during the Confirmation Ceremony.  I ask you to pray for these candidates who over the past two years have been studying and preparing for the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  Also, pray for Bishop Reed as he celebrates this important sacrament in the lives of these young men and women and in the life of our parish family.  To the candidates, I pray that you all receive with an openness the grace this sacrament offers, and the seven-fold gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel (right judgment), Fortitude (courage), Knowledge, Piety (reverence) and Fear of the Lord (wonder & awe).  To Bishop Reed, I offer you the prayerful support of our parish family.

Welcome and Congratulations!
