Next week, we once again enter Holy Week. It begins with Christ’s entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. From that moment of joy, we will be led to the Upper Room on Holy Thursday to see Jesus humbly washing the feet of His disciples and offering Himself in the Eucharist. Then we go to the Cross with Jesus on Good Friday. There we will stand with Mary and the Beloved Disciple and witness God’s love. After the Cross is the silence of Holy Saturday as Christ is in the tomb. That silence will be shattered on Easter Sunday, when all cry out Alleluia, He has Risen! This week is indeed holy because of the events that Christ will undergo for love of us and for our salvation. Let us enter it with a sense of gratitude.
