“The devotion to the memory of the dead is one of the most beautiful expressions of the Catholic spirit.” –    Pope St. John XXIII

This weekend, we begin a month dedicated to our beloved deceased.  November is known as the month of All Souls.  On Monday, a special Mass of All Souls will be live-streamed from the Church at 4:00 p.m.  You may view that All Souls Mass, on the parish website (www.stmarysdedham.com).  During the Mass the names of the deceased from the past year will be mentioned.  Also, I ask each of you to remember in your prayers, all our loved ones who have died.  Also, commend to your prayers the Holy Souls in Purgatory.  As you offer a prayer, perhaps make a small sacrifice for that one soul that has been forgotten.  Our brothers and sisters in Purgatory need our prayerful assistance.  I can assure you that if it is your prayer that helped a soul get to Heaven, that soul will be forever grateful. Offer this simple prayer by St Gertrude once a day, if you are able.

“Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said through-out the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen.”

Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Fr. Wayne
