This weekend, we celebrate the feast of the Holy Trinity.  The Trinity manifests to us the immense love that exists between the Three Persons of the Trinity; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  The Holy Trinity is love.  Not only that, but the Holy Trinity is the source of love.  In the preface for the Mass for Holy Matrimony, it is prayed: “Love is our origin, love is our calling, and love is our true nature.”  This love is made present in our lives through the witness, the actions, and the reality of the Holy Trinity.  The love that the Father shares with the Son is so intense that not even heaven could contain it.  This love was then sent into the world in the person of the Holy Spirit.  The basic truth we take away from this feast is that God is love and He desires that we participate in His love.  The Holy Trinity provides us the vehicle and the strength to be able to do so.
