Beginning with the feast of the Epiphany, there were, as I said last weekend, three manifestations of God’s glory. The first was when the Magi brought their gifts and revealed the majestic nature of the Child. Secondly, at the Jordan River through the voice of God, Jesus was revealed as the Son of God. Finally, at the Wedding Feast at Cana, the glory of God was revealed through the miracle of the water changed into the choicest of wines. In each of these manifestations, you will notice that others were present; the Magi, John the Baptist, and our Lady helped set the stage for Christ who revealed God’s glory. In other words, they were not a hindrance to the work being done in Christ – they were participants. Will you participate in the work of Christ as He reveals the glory of God? The Gospel today reminds us that all things are fulfilled in Christ. Let’s be attentive to His works and actions in our lives.
