As our nation readied itself for the presidential election, I was struck by the degree of passion people had for one candidate over the other. People were strong in their beliefs and vocal in their support of their particular candidate. I often wonder, in the election season, what would happen if people put the same degree of passion and enthusiasm into their faith. If we were as vocal about our belief in Jesus Christ, perhaps more people would be willing to stand up for what they believe. So, election season is over, for now, let’s concentrate on how we can passionately live out our faith. Let us focus over these next few weeks on preparing our minds and hearts for the season of Advent that will be here before we know it. Make Christ a priority in your life and the lives of the ones you know and love.
