Today, we embark on a week which we call holy.  For the past forty days, we have journeyed with our Lord through the desert to the mountain top; and, we have heard Him speak about mercy, forgiveness, and compassion.  Now, we walk alongside of Him as He triumphantly enters into Jerusalem.  We hear the enthusiasm of the crowds who welcome Him but we cannot escape the reality that awaits Him.  We know that this will be a challenging week.  This week will be filled with joy and sadness, loyalty and betrayal, hope and bitterness, confusion and clarity.  We will hear and witness to the sacredness of this week.  I encourage each of you to be open to all that God is going to do in this week.  Listen intently to the readings, observe carefully the actions, and stay focused on the fact that this was done for your salvation.

In preparation for the events that will unfold before our very eyes, be aware of the extended hours of Confession and avail yourself to the Sacrament.

Also, please keep in your prayers the twenty-one adults who will receive the Easter Sacraments at the Easter Vigil this year.

Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Wayne
