With the academic school year well underway, many of our parish faith formation programs are about to kick-off. The Parish Religious Education Program (grades K-6) will begin next Sunday, September 29th, and ROC (grades 7-10) will begin on Monday, September 30th. It is with great joy and enthusiasm that we welcome back our students after a well deserved summer break. This year the entire Parish Faith Formation has been revamped. The classes will focus on getting back to the basics. We will concentrate our studies/lessons on prayer, the Sacraments, and the Ten Commandments with a focus on moral questions. Also, we will continue to highlight and encourage family participation in Sunday Mass.
Next weekend, our Life Teen Program will celebrate 27 Years in the Life! This 27th Anniversary is filled with great expectations of a year like none other. All of these wonderful programs remind us of the importance of forming our young people in the gift of the faith. Please pray for the directors of these programs, Olivia and Matthew, and those who will assist them in bringing the faith to your children. May God who has begun this good work in our parish family, bring it to fulfillment.
