Parishioner Sponsored Ministries

In honor of our Blessed Mother, we pray for families, for priests, seminarians, deacons and vocations to the religious life which are born and nurtured in families.  We pray for the sanctity of life and marriage, for the unborn, for babies and children who are healthy, sick or disabled, pregnant women, couples who are trying to conceive a baby or adopt a baby, mothers who have had miscarriages, parents who have suffered the death of a baby or a child, parents who have had an abortion and parents who have considered having one, parents who are struggling to accept their disabled child, as well as parents who embrace their disabled child and see in that child, the beauty that was created by God.
We invite you to pray the Memorare each day for all these intentions.

A women’s prayer and discussion group.  Each month we have a topic of discussion and teaching, prayer time and time for questions on any aspect of our faith.  Women form a sisterhood of support and faith. We are strengthened by coming together in community for sharing and growing in our relationship with Jesus.  We meet once a month in the evening, from 7:00 to 8:30pm.  If you’ve never been in a faith sharing group but have always wanted to take a step out in faith and come to a meeting!  You will meet fun dynamic women of all ages who share your desire to grow closer to Jesus!

Word of Life Meetings with the Focolare Movement

The Focolare Movement (also called The Work of Mary) is a lay ecclesial movement in the Catholic Church. Members of the movement try to live according to its charism – to live in such a way as to fulfill Jesus’ prayer “that all may be one.” Each month, members and friends all over the world try to ‘practice’ in their daily lives a phrase from the gospel. Once a month, we meet to share our experience of trying to live the Word of God well.

Two Word of Life groups meet in the homes of St. Mary’s parishioners.

The Cursillo Movement

Cursillo: “Little Course” Treat yourself to the best weekend of your life. “The Cursillo method aims at helping to transform, in a Christian way, the environments where people live and work through the involvement of “new men and women” who have become such from their encounter with Christ” said Pope John Paul II in 2000. “This is the goal of the three day “little course’ on Christianity, in which a team of priests and lay people communicated the fundamental truths of the Christian faith in an especially “living way”. The community comes together for prayer and faith sharing.

LIFT Ministries

LIFT is a monthly worship gathering on a Tuesday night in Milton, MA at Fontbonne Academy. LIFT uses modern elements such as professional lighting and sound, video screens displaying worship imagery and song lyrics, creative environments and the latest in contemporary praise and worship music performed by a live band to enhance the worship experience. LIFT starts with upbeat praise and worship music followed by an inspirational talk given by a dynamic speaker speaking on that night’s theme, and culminates with a time of Eucharistic Adoration enhanced by more praise and worship music.
