Word of Life Meetings with the Focolare Movement
The Focolare Movement (also called The Work of Mary) is a lay ecclesial movement in the Catholic Church. Members of the movement try to live according to its charism – to live in such a way as to fulfill Jesus’ prayer “that all may be one.” Each month, members and friends all over the world try to ‘practice’ in their daily lives a phrase from the gospel. Once a month, we meet to share our experience of trying to live the Word of God well.
Two Word of Life groups meet in the homes of St. Mary’s parishioners.

The Cursillo Movement
Cursillo: “Little Course” Treat yourself to the best weekend of your life. “The Cursillo method aims at helping to transform, in a Christian way, the environments where people live and work through the involvement of “new men and women” who have become such from their encounter with Christ” said Pope John Paul II in 2000. “This is the goal of the three day “little course’ on Christianity, in which a team of priests and lay people communicated the fundamental truths of the Christian faith in an especially “living way”. The community comes together for prayer and faith sharing.
