People often ask me if evil is real and if the devil exists. This past week in our nation we witnessed the answer to such questions. The horrific images out of Las Vegas are a grim reminder to us that evil does in fact exist in our world. Yet, let us not forget that the power of God is much stronger than evil. Such unfathomable moments as we have seen remind us of the importance of prayer in our lives. These violent acts call us to reflect on the state of our world; but, more importantly, it should underline the need for God to be in our lives. We will never be able to make sense of such evil acts. We also cannot allow evil to lead us down a road of helplessness and despair. We must reclaim our lives by reminding the world that the light will always overcome the darkness ~ Good will triumph over evil ~ and that we need to respect and love one another. Please pray for those who were killed, injured, and who grieve.
