Each week, we are treated to a spectacular reminder and image of the Transfiguration of our Lord. The main Altar centerpiece is that exact scene. As you look at the Altar today and each day forward, I want you to recall the words from the Gospel; namely, “It is good that we are here.” Each Mass attended, each visit made to the Church is in a certain sense an ascent to the mountain top with the Lord. Like Peter, we must recognize the value of spending time with the Lord and exclaim that it is good to be with Him. I encourage you all to climb the mountain today and be with our Lord. You can do that through Mass, prayer, and a daily visit to the Church or Chapel.
